U ATC

Here's the ATC I have made for the 'U' stage of our challenge.  I used this great stamp from Elzybells and coloured it with ProMarkers.  The background is a Sissix Embossing Folder.  I used the title 'Under dressed'!

I made this card at the request of a colleague.  The stamp is from Sugar Nellie and is coloured with ProMarkers (as always).  The papers are from MME and the number is cut with the Olivia plates from Cuttlebug.

Knitted Easter Chicks

Easter chicks or ugly ducklings?  I love these hairy chicks.  I used exactly the same pattern as the yellow chicks, but they look so different.  I googled 'Knitted Easter Chick' and got the free pattern.

Baby Girl Card

This Penny Black stamp is always a favourite when it come to new baby cards (or Christening cards).  I used my favourite Martha Stewart punch for the border and nestabilities for the lacy circles.

Invitations finished and delivered!  I really enjoyed making the invitations for my niece and her fiance.  Here's a few pictures of them.  The cats loved standing guard!

The Chosen Wedding Invitation

This is the Wedding Invitation my niece and her fiance have chosen.  This is the picture of the prototype.  The final one will have a printed tag.  I don't think I'd ever have chosen purple, but I think it works really well.  The ribbon I used here was from my stash - the real one will have a white ribbon.

ATC Alphabet Swap

Can't believe we are on S already with our ATC Alphabet swap.  I thought there would be so many things to use for 'S' but when it came down to it I struggled to think of a theme.  I went for 'swirls'. I love this Hero Arts swirly stamp.  The face stamp is one I used for a card I had featured in Craft Stamper a while ago.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks to stamp with.

Made this card for my husband for Valentine's Day.  Very simple, but I was pretty pleased with it.

Invitation Samples

I've been playing with Wedding Invitations for my niece and her fiance who are getting married this summer.  Sadly, the light had faded by the time I took most of the photos and the colours don't look right.  I'm making more samples this week.  The purple card is Prisma run through the Cuttlebug with Swirls and Swiss Dots.  The butterflies are cut with punches.

Lili of the Valley

This is my first card of 2011.  It has quite a few of my Christmas presents incorporated into it.  First is the lovely Lili of the Valley stamp that is coloured with ProMarkers.  The punched edge is made with my new Martha Stewart punch set.  The background square (with holes) is made with my new Spellbinders Die.  Finally, the sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley and also came from Santa.  Look out for new Lili stamps available on Tuesday...so many new gorgeous ones.

I made a New Year Resolution to read more and so far it's going well.  Trouble is, I can't find a way to read, craft, update my blog, work, cook, clean... all at the same time.  If you can help, please let me know how I can do it. 

Books I've read so far are Fractured by Karin Slaughter and Too Close to Home by Linwood Barclay.  I'm now reading Fear the Worst by Linwood Barclay.  If you haven't read No Time for Goodbye by Linwood Barclay you really need to!
