80th Birthday

A work colleague asked me to make a card for her Mum's 80th birthday. I used Brenda Pinnick chipboard for the numbers and Cuttlebug's Olivia for mum. The background papes are by HOTP.

Alcohol Inks/Chipboard

The flower has been dabbed with colour (using a baby wipe) from Distress Ink pads. I tapped parts of it with the Essential Glue Pad and then dipped it into a tub of Gold leaf. The flower is chipboard bought from Poundland. My husband hates pound shops, but even he will agree it turned out ok! The corrugated mat at the back is also a pound shop purchase - can't remember how much it cost though:)

Heart Flowers

I cut hearts from white card with a Quickutz die and applied Distress Inks with a babywipe. Next I dabbed round the edges with a different coloured pad. Finally I spritzed them with water, waited for them to dry and mounted them on 3d foam. I caught the pointed ends of the hearts underneath a button brad before adding a ribbon.

Dabbers

I bought the Adirondack Dabbers a while ago but only just began to use them this week. This effect is quite subtle but textured.

Distress Inks

Made this card with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads. I inked up the stamp and spritzed the stamp with water before stamping on the card. I tapped the ink pad around the edges and spritzed again. I left it to dry before adding a ribbon. I quite like the smudged effect that it left. Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but I am pleased with it.

My Latest Stamp

The stamp is from a range of stamps by Inkadinkado. It's my first purchase from the set, but won't be my last! I stamped the image with StazOn black. The image is coloured using Blending Blox (the pinks) and Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad (broken china). I mounted it using Quickutz photo corners and used a couple of new papers I have as backgrounds.

Distress Inks

I made this background with Distress Inks. I covered a sheet of acetate with ink from different coloured ink pads, spritzed it with water and placed white card face down. Next I placed another sheet of acetate over the top and squidged the sheets together. The resulting patterns were a little pale so I pressed an ink pad over the top and spritzed it again with water. I think the whole effect looks pretty good. The butterfly image is made using the new Tsukineko Glue Pad covered with metal flakes.

Fathers Day

I made this card using my lovely Cricut machine and rubber stamps from Stamps Away. The 'dad' wording is cut from cardstock purchased in the US about 6 years ago! It has a basketball texture which is very touchy feely!

Fathers Day Darts

Made this card for Father's Day today. Ben isn't happy with the score I used as he usually beats his dad at darts! The stamps used are by Stamps Away.

Time ATCs

These are 2 Time ATCs made for a recent swap. The TIME letters were cut on my new Cricut machine using the George cartridge. The stamped images are all by Hero Arts except the lady who is by Personal Impressions and the small watch which is by See-D's. The brown watch is stamped into funfoam and highlighted with a metallic rub-on. The background of the blue ATC is made by scrunching tissue paper and then rubbing over it with a Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad.

Floral Trio

I made this card using flowers purchased from a local bargain shop. Although very simple, I think it looks great.

Son's Birthday Cards

These cards were made for my son's 19th birthday recently. He is an FC Barcelona fan and also is permanently attached to his i-pod.

Cuttlebug

I am the proud owner of a new Cuttlebug machine. It is so easy to use. It can be used to cut dies or to emboss. This card is very simple, but sometimes I prefer that!

Baby blue

I have had this Hero Arts stamp for years and rarely used it. I stamped the image with black ink and then stamped it again on blue Bazzill Cardstock, cut it out and attached it with a foam pad.
