Sugar Nellie

Made this card with the lovely Hamish for a friend who got engaged on Christmas day in Lapland. Background papers from HOTP, brads Papermania, Flowers Prima.

Here is my attempt at the first challenge on the SugarBowlBlog. I used the gorgeous Hamish from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits. The background papers are mostly HOTP and Core-dinations. Hamish is coloured with Distress Ink from Tim Holtz at Ranger. Why not give the challenge a go?

The dog image is from Elzybells Stamps. The happy birthday is part of a 99p set by Studio g. Background paper is Core-dinations embossed with the Cuttlebug and 'distressed' with a nail file. I highlighted the torn paper part of the stamp with Glossy Accents from Ranger.

NYE 2008

Last night we went to a NYE party at a friend's house. The theme was film. This is a picture for my mum. L-R Dom, Cat, Robyn, Ben. My 2 sons and my 2 nieces.

Happy Christmas

Just a quick post to wish everyone a happy Christmas. The turkey is in the oven and the house is beginning to smell like the Christmas I love. The lounge smells like cinnamon thanks to a gorgeous candle from Melt. Merry Christmas to everyone and thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely comments, I really appreciate you taking the time.

Uploaded some more Christmas cards. Finally finished making, writing and sending them. Next year I will start much much earlier, probably even begin in November! Hope everyone has a fab Christmas and a wonderful 2009.

Christmas Cards for 2008

Haven't uploaded anything for what seems like ages. Finally finished making cards today and cleaned the house ready for Christmas. Just got a shopping to do (!) and a Pavlova to make for Christmas Day now. Happy Holidays everyone (I love that expression, but know lots of English people don't!)

A bit of a red theme here! Stamp from Elzybells. Background papers from K & Company. The greeting is Inkadinkadoo (part of the stamp) stamped onto vellum.

Hamish

Hamish is from Sugar Nellie. He is coloured in with Twinkling H20s. The floral paper is from DCWV and the embossed card is Core-dinations run through the Cuttlebug.

This snowman stamp is from Spiral Whisper. I coloured the hat and scarf with Twinkling H20s and highlighted the body with a touch of blue cos I'm not keen on pure white snowmen! The baubles stamp is from Elzybells.

A change from Christmas Cards...

The daughter of a colleague gave birth to a baby girl this week. This card was a welcome break from the seemingly endless Christmas cards I am making! The image is from Penny Black. Embossing by Cuttlebug. Lilac scalloped card is from Core-dinations (my new favourite card).

Cherry in the Snow

This gorgeous cat stamp is by Lindsay Mason. I have highlighted the cat with Glossy Accents and added a touch of Basic Grey paper behind. The cat is called Cherry and is from a whole collection of stamps featuring Lindsay's cat. (Apologies for the picture quality but I never seem to be at home when it is light!)

Snowy Days

Took these photos just to make my niece jealous. She is at Loughborough Uni and they don't have any snow. The snow looked beautiful on Thursday and I got a day off work as school was closed. Today, though, the remains of the snow (which is quite a lot) has frozen solid and is not beautiful!

Elzybells again

More of my favourite Christmas stamps. The top card has some little mittens that I have had for about 3 years now - bought them in the US. Took a lot of courage to actually use them!

A double update of Elzybells cards. Had a day at home today as school was closed due to heavy snowfalls locally. Made the most of it by crafting. The background papers are a mix of Coredinations, K & Co and Basic Grey. I added Stickles glitter to highlight.

Have you noticed yet that I love this cute girly stamp from Elzybells? Link for stamp below. The season's greetings stamp is from Inkadinkadoo. I took the picture before the Stickles glitter dried on the text. Should have waited as the glitter looks lumpy!
