Diva ATCs

I recently bought myself a Tim Holt alphabet. The ATC on the left is the first time I used it. Although it's quite large, I like the effect.

Acetate

I made this for a recent swap entitled 'Acetate'. I enjoyed using the stamped images and the old poster. The dress in the background is entitled 'My mother's dress' and is a stamp I turn to often.

Oriental ATCs

These Oriental ATCs are for a swap I take part in. I make 10 of the same ATC and send them to the host who returns one of each ATC made by the 10 people in the swap. It's a great idea and so good seeing how people interpret the theme so differently.

Two Years Old

I made this card for a friend's son who has just turned two. I used papers by K & Company. They are papers I have had for ages but hadn't used. If you are a crafter you will understand that some stash is just 'too good' to use!

60th birthday

I made this for a friend's hubby who was 60 last week. He's a car fan so I thought it was apt.

Tim Holtz Papers

These are 2 cards I made during half-term using Tim Holtz papers. I adore Tim's products but never manage to find the time to play with them fully. I need to invest in more of his alcohol inks very soon!

Oriental Bookmarks

I wanted to make something other than a card for an Oriental swap I am in this month. I decided to make these bookmarks and am quite pleased with the result, but then blue is my favourite colour!

Card for a Friend

A friend I met over the Internet asked me to make a card for her dad's 70th birthday. Although I was quite worried about making it - would she like it, or not - I was quite pleased how it turned out.

Valentine Card

I know I shouldn't say it myself, but I really like this card. I love the colours and think they work well together.

First Kiss ATC

Once again, I used the triple thick embossing method for this ATC. The rub on was a freebie on a Do Crafts magazine and the brads are by Papermania.

Loving Moments

I made this ATC for a swap, but liked it so much I'm keeping it myself! I used triple thick embossing powder, stamped into it then sprinkled on more powder and heated it again. I like the effect I achieved.

Triple Thick Heart Embossing

Triple thick embossing is my favourite technique at the moment. This ATC is a happy accident! The blue embossing powder I thought was clear when I picked it up. I think it works quite well though!

Flower with Chalks ATC

I made this ATC using a Versamark Ink Pad by Tsukineko and coloured it by dabbing on chalks. I added a layer of green paper topped with a floral image and a cut out flower all highlighted with craft chalks. The ribbon was a present from a crafty friend who included it with a swap she sent me recently. I am really pleased with this ATC but it hasn't photographed very well.

Chalks (again)

Well, you've probably realised by now that I have been playing with my chalks today. The stamps are by Hero Arts (again).

Chalky Flowers

This card is made from more Hero Arts stamps. I used chalks and added an extra stamped flower cut out an attached with a brad.

Hero Arts Flower

I have had this flower stamp for years now and I often go back to using it. I prefer the 'less is more' approach to card making and this stamp is perfect in my eyes. The gems are by the Do Crafts brand Papermania.

January Tag

I take part in a Month of the Year tag swap through a craft group on line. This is my interpretation of January!

My Published ATCs

These ATCs are 2 of the 4 I had published in a recent edition of Do Crafts Scrapbooking Magazine. The bottom one was shown in its entirety except Do Crafts changed its layout to make it portrait!

I am involved in ATC swaps through Do Crafts and I was asked to submit some for a magazine feature. I thought I wouldn't hear any more and then in November the mag dropped through my door with my ATCs in!

Alcohol Inks

This card is made with Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks on acetate. I am really pleased with the effect. I used the 3 colours from the Cottage Path collection.

Snowy Family

The background of this card is made using See D's stamps. The snow family is a stamp I borrowed from my mum! I shouldn't really say it, but I like this card.

Reindeers

The reindeer names stamp is a Hero Arts stamp I bought this year. Of all the Christmas cards I have made so far, this is my hubby's favourite.

This card is made using 2 stamps I had forgotten I had!

It's been half term this week and I have struggled to come up with ideas for Christmas cards that I so desperately need to get making! This is the first I made that I am quite pleased with.

Travels

Glue Stick Embossing

My new favourite technique - embossing with a glue stick. Instead of using an ink pad to emboss on - use a glue stick. It gives a great textured effect.

This was a card experiment that turned out quite well. It is made with Quickutz flower dies and strips of green card for grass/leaves.

March 2006

I've eventually got round to posting more cards that were made during February/March. My own personal favourite is the First Birthday box card.
