Elzybells ATC

Can't believe we are 6 months into our alphabet ATC swap. The image is from Elzybells. He is coloured in Blackburn Rovers colours with ProMarkers. I needed to add something extra to the ATC but wasn't sure what. I decided on red and yellow cards!

Thinking of You

Made this card for a colleague and friend who lost a relative this week. Doubt if these kind of cards are the favourite of anyones to make. The background is made with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads 'splodged'on a heat-proof mat and spritzed with water before pressing white cardstock into the 'mess'! I heated the ink between colour-adds. The stamp is, I think, from Stampendous. It's a stamp I find really useful and lends itself to many occasions, including this sad one.

Happy Birthday

This card is made with a Sugar Nellie stamp - Luca. Background papers are a mix of Crafty Individuals and spotty card from my stash. 60 and happy birthday embossings are made with the Cuttlebug.

Strange lights moving over Darwen

On Saturday 19th September around 8 pm these lights were seen in the sky over Darwen, Lancashire. They aren't blobs on the camera, they really were orange lights moving pretty fast from left to right. They weren't planes, they weren't hot air balloons...what were they? Any suggestions gratefully received.

Penny Black Hedgehog

I love the Penny Black hedgehog stamps. Treated myself to a new one yesterday at Topaz - 40% off! I like a bargain, especially a crafty bargain.

Gorjuss

Yet another Gorjuss Girl. Background papers are Basic Grey. Gorjuss Girl Butterfly stamp is from Sugar Nellie at Funky Kits. The crochet flowers are from a swap I did on UK Scrappers with a lady whose user name is Enfys. The flowers are just beautiful.

Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

Here's another Gorjuss Girl card. This is my entry for the challenge on Spoonful of Sugar. The theme is 'distressing'. I added some distressing to the papers with my Tim Holtz 'distresser'. Background papers are Crafty Individuals with added bling! Blue paper is from Basic Grey and the lovely girly stamp is a Gorjuss Girl from Sugar Nellie (link in previous post).

Sugar Bowl Challenge

Here's my entry for the challenge on The Sugar Bowl. The stamp I used is the Gorjuss Girl Butterfly from Sugar Nellie. Papers are Core'dinations, Brenda Pinnick and some card I inked with spritzed Distress Inks.

Distress Inks and Bleach Stamping

Two more cards with the inky/bleach technique.

The top card is made with Adirondack inkpad inked over the card then stamped on top with bleach and dye inks. Charms were bought at a craft show from Mei Flower.

Inky Cards

Thought I'd have a change in style this week! The backgrounds are made using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads. I used a heat proof mat and dabbed it with various colours of the inks then spritzed with water. Next I put my background card onto the inks and squidged them around. The flower stamp (Stampendous) in the top card was inked with Distress Inks and stamped. The bottom image was 'inked' with bleach and stamped. I love the bleached effects. More similar pics tomorrow. The top card had blobs of water thrown onto it too.

Summer Exam Congrats

This is a card I made for my niece to congratulate her on her A Level results today. I also thought it was a card that fitted the theme for Cute Card Thursday's Summer challenge this week. What could be more summery than exam results!?

Football Season - Elzybells

Christmas in August!

Ok, I know it's early! I just couldn't resist this tree peel-off. Got it at the weekend demo at Dawn Bibby's Topaz Crafts. Tree is stuck on white card and coloured in with ProMarkers. Snowflake background is made with the fab Cuttlebug. The coloured beads are from Crafty Notions.
