Thinking of You

Made this card for a colleague and friend who lost a relative this week. Doubt if these kind of cards are the favourite of anyones to make. The background is made with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads 'splodged'on a heat-proof mat and spritzed with water before pressing white cardstock into the 'mess'! I heated the ink between colour-adds. The stamp is, I think, from Stampendous. It's a stamp I find really useful and lends itself to many occasions, including this sad one.

How strange that you posted a sympathy card. It's beautiful. My friend's mum died yesterday morning.I have known her for over 50 years and she was such a good example to me. It gives in inspiration to see what others are making in the way of cards. TFS.
Happy Birthday for yesterday. I hope you had a fun day.

It is a gorgeous stamp and put to good use here. That's a fun sounding technique to get the background - I know it probably wasn't this time when you realise what the card is for but it is a beautiful card.
