Miller Howe, Windermere

Last week was our Silver Wedding Anniversary. I rememer my wedding well, I was just 15 years old *joke*! We spent the week at Windermere Suites, a fabulous 5* hotel. On our anniversary we went to Miller Howe for a meal. The meal was lovely and I couldn't help but share the photos with you (and I've run out of new crafty type photos for the moment).
The views were towards the Langdale Pikes and, or course, Lake Windermere. We started with hors d'oeuvres - the carrot crisps were magnificent! First course (not photographed for some reason) was carrot soup and was creamy and delicious. The chosen starters were salmon and twice baked cheese souffle. Mains were pork and beef. I couldn't manage a pudding, but my husband had the chocolote option! Coffee and petit fours were served in the conservatory. Couldn't manage the chocolates, so decided to bring them home. Found them yesterday squashed and melted in my handbag! Oops.
